Replicas »     Visual investigative studies of artworks which I selected as reference points during my GCSE and AS Level Art courses. These courses involved doing written and visual analyses of pieces of art containing stylistic, technical or thematic elements which we wished to apply or assimilate to our own projects. The visual studies are not only a crucial part of technical analysis, they are very good practice, as the student explores the processes behind producing particular effects and encounters first-hand a variety of artistic styles and methods. Recently, the sale of custom-ordered replicas of famous artworks has become popular: if you wish to commission an original copy, in oil on canvas or any other material, of a favourite historical piece, please email me and I'll be happy to discuss it.
